This joint is one type utilized on our drawer boxes. It provides plenty of glue surface in addition to the basic mechanical connection. Thus, a very reliable and attractive corner. Using this joint on all 4 corners and a bottom that is contained in a Dado on all 4 sides provides a drawer of incredible strength. The drawer box shown has a 1/8" thick bottom panel. You can also select the 1/2" thick bottom panel for additional strength.
